Goodbye for now...

Just like Wednesday we were divided into two groups; one went snorkeling, and the other one went hiking.

All four of us were going to face the challenge of the Diamond head trail. Some of us tried to break the record time to the top, but unfortunately it was little to no success. The road was tough, but everybody made it to the top, enjoying the beautiful view over Waikiki. Those who ran all the way up, were waiting for the rest to arrive bringing cameras and life saving water bottles with them! Motivated by the opportunity of getting shave ice in hundreds of different flavor combinations, we were heading back to the bottom.

Everybody was super tired, especially about the thoughts of walking all the way back to the hotel, which took us about 20 minutes the first time. Suddenly the first people of our group started running, seeing something outside of the tunnel, which is the only way to enter or exit the hiking adventure. It was Rhonda, the probably coolest bus driver we ever had! She waited for us, the bus ready to take us home, saving the hurting feet and heavy legs.

After the last group picture with an amazing view in the background, we went back to the hotel, planning on enjoying the last free time on the beach offered by the paradise called hawai'i.
Our trip to Luau made our last day perfect. It began with another hula dance lesson. We had many opportunities to choose from, shows to watch, games to play, local drinks to enjoy, me of the, was the flower rain. Supposedly the person who catches a flower thrown from the top of a palm tree, will have luck in love.

Later on our super delicious dinner was interrupted by an invitation to dance the hula on stage! The whole group went on stage, dancing and celebrating our last evening on Hawaii. We couldn't all fit onto the stage because we are so many, but it was okay. Afterwards, the big show began, and there were hula dances and some traditional Hawaiian dancing. It was really cool to see!! They also had some dancing with fire, twisting and turning them, really showing the bright light in the dark.
It was a super great show, but we wish it would have lasted longer.
